Local businesses join Parent Aware

A select group of child care programs are the newest local programs to earn their Parent Aware ratings.

Parent Aware’s mission is to help families find the quality care and education their children need to succeed in school and life. These child care programs all volunteered to go above and beyond basic health and safety requirements and use best practices to support child development. The experiences children have during their first years of life will shape the adults they become, making it especially important for all children to have access to quality care and early education.

Local businesses who received ratings in Douglas County include: Stephanie Anderson, Lynn Barten, Samantha Christensen, Quinn Connelly, Sue Earl, Gardonville Cooperative Telephone Association Little Peeps Daycare, Little Learners Academy LLC, Lisa Moyle and Danielle Wilke.

“These early childhood educators have gone above and beyond to provide quality care for the children and families in their programs,” said Marianne Smith, professional development advisor for the Northwest Child Care Aware District.

“Supply and demand are constantly recalibrating and leveling out the markets, and markets have a way of responding to prices and self-correcting over time,” Wittbecker said. “Having seen a range of trading cycles, I put perceptions into proper perspective and help businesses make sound decisions based on true market demands.”

“Our team met Greg through the Aluminum Extruders Council, where industry partners work together to advance and promote the aluminum extrusion industry,” said Steve Schabel, president, Alexandria Industries. “We are honored to have Greg serve as a member on our board.
