Ocala’s GML expands to South Carolina
Ocala-based GML Industries, an electric equipment supplier, announced earlier this month that it will build a second manufacturing facility. It will be in Duncan, South Carolina, and will create 74 jobs.

Art of HR conference set for Jan. 18
The 2022 Art of HR conference presented by the Ocala Human Resource Management Association, in partnership with CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion and the Mid-FL Regional Manufacturers Association, will be held 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 18 at the World Equestrian Center, 1390 NW 80th Ave., Ocala.

WUFT-TV expands to include DIRECTV STREAM
WUFT-TV is now live streaming on DIRECTV STREAM.
“As viewer habits continue to evolve, PBS remains committed to making our award-winning, national and local content available to all Americans across as many platforms as possible. This partnership will allow PBS and our member stations to expand our digital footprint and reach more viewers with content that inspires, educates and entertains,” Ira Rubenstein, PBS chief digital and marketing officer, said in prepared remarks.
WUFT “serves as a training facility for students of all disciplines in the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications,” according to a press release announcing the news.
Marion Cultural Alliance secures $10K grant
The Marion Cultural Alliance has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts “to support efforts to market the organization as well as to develop an awareness of the arts and cultural community at large,” according to an MCA news release.
“MCA is excited to be selected as a recipient of the Arts Engagement in American Communities Grant. MCA, with the help of funders such as the NEA, will begin promoting the arts and cultural community with online maps, portals to arts organizations’ websites, a robust event calendar, and more. Ocala/Marion County’s arts sector is growing and it’s important for MCA to promote the opportunities for residents and visitors,” Jaye Baillie, executive director of the Marion Cultural Alliance, said in the release.
Tranzon Auction Properties acquires Tranzon Driggers
The Ocala-based Tranzon Driggers real estate auction firm has been acquired by
Tranzon Auction Properties.
“The move enhances and strengthens the working relationship the two companies have
maintained for over 20 years as members of Tranzon, LLC, a nationwide leader in real
estate auctions. For years, the two companies have worked closely together to bring
expedited real estate selling solutions to clients in the Southeast and Northeast,” Tranzon said in a news release.
