Lisa Renee Bobo, 61, of Pine Bluff, was a sweet person who loved the Lord, life and the Razorbacks. She went to be with the Lord Friday, February 25, 2022 at home surrounded by family. Lisa was born October 26, 1960, in Pine Bluff, daughter of James Patrick and Sue Davidson Geissler. She was reared and received her early education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Watson Chapel High School in 1979. Lisa proudly graduated with honors from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
Lisa worked for Planters Cotton Oil Mill for over 40 years, retiring as their office manager October 31, 2021.
She was a very active member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a vibrant part of their church family “every time the doors were open”. Lisa served the church in many ways, including choir, vacation bible school, ladies Bible study and serving as a Sunday School teacher.
Lisa loved to travel to the beach. She called it her “happy place”. She truly loved life and tried to always see the good in everyone she met.
An avid Razorback fan, she enjoyed both watching games on television and attending in person when possible.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Martin Geissler.
Survivors include her husband, Marion Palmer “Lud” Bobo, whom she married June 24, 1984 in Pine Bluff; daughter, Brandi Bobo Wooldridge (Matt) of Rogers; two sons, Jason Bobo (Jessie) of Little Rock and Justin Bobo of Sheridan; father, James Patrick (Gail) of Star City; mother, Sue Geissler of Quitman; sister, Jamie Stover (Byron) of Star City; and three grandchildren, Callie, Lillie and Josie Wooldridge.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, February 28, 2022 at Salem Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Howard Loetscher officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery by Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 2-4 p.m. at Robinson’s.
