Stephen Curry is just two made three-pointers away from breaking Ray Allen’s all-time record for most 3Ps made. It seems a given that Curry will break the record on Tuesday vs. the Knicks when the game tips off at 7:30 p.m. ET. Daily Fantasy basketball sites are certainly expecting a typical Curry performance as he is the second-most expensive player on DraftKings and the third-priciest on FanDuel. But that also means if you want to make Curry one of your NBA DFS picks, you’ll have to search for value elsewhere to fill out your lineups.
Perhaps forming an NBA DFS stack with Curry and Jordan Poole is the way to go considering the third-year guard’s emergence this year. He’s averaging 17.8 PPG and is playing like someone who doesn’t want to give up his starting spot once Klay Thompson returns to the court. Poole won’t break the bank for your NBA DFS salary cap and could offer a great return on investment. But, before you submit your NBA DFS picks for Tuesday, be sure to check out the NBA DFS advice, player rankings, stacks and top daily Fantasy basketball picks from SportsLine’s Mike McClure.
McClure is a DFS professional with nearly $2 million in career winnings. He’s also a predictive data engineer at SportsLine who uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every minute of every game 10,000 times, taking factors like matchups, statistical trends and injuries into account.
This allows him to find the best NBA DFS values and create optimal lineups that he shares only over at SportsLine. They’re a must-see for any NBA DFS player.
On Monday, McClure had Nuggets center Nikola Jokic in his core NBA DFS picks on FanDuel and DraftKings. The result: Jokic finished with 28 points, 19 rebounds, nine assists and three steals for an incredible 73.25 points on DraftKings and 72.3 points on FanDuel. Anybody that included him in their lineups was well on the way to a profitable day.
Now, McClure has turned his attention to the Tuesday, December 14 NBA DFS slate and locked in his top daily Fantasy basketball picks. You can only see them by heading to SportsLine.
Top NBA DFS picks for Tuesday, December 14
One of McClure’s top NBA DFS picks for Tuesday is Suns guard Chris Paul at $8,400 on both DraftKings and FanDuel. Paul has turned back the clock and is averaging 14.2 points, 10.1 assists and 2.0 steals per game. His assists average is its highest in seven years while his steals average is its highest in six years.
The last time Paul faced the Blazers was on Nov. 10 and he dropped 21 points which is his third-highest scoring game of the season. He also had seven assists and four rebounds but Paul may be asked to do even more tonight considering the various absences for Phoenix. Not only is Booker out, but Deandre Ayton (illness) didn’t play on Monday, so the Suns could be without their two leading scorers. Paul surpassed 20,000 career points earlier this season so he knows how to fill up the hoop and could do that often on Tuesday.
Another part of McClure’s optimal NBA DFS strategy includes rostering Knicks forward Julius Randle ($9,200 on DraftKings and $8,600 on FanDuel). Randle is averaging 19.1 points, 10 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game. Randle is one of three NBA players averaging a 19-10-5 stat line along with the last two MVPs in Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Due to health and safety protocols, New York is missing both RJ Barrett, who is the team’s second-leading scorer, and Obi Toppin, who is Randle’s backup at power forward. Thus, Randle will be forced into more action and should see a higher volume of shots to fill the scoring voids. The Knicks take on the Warriors on Tuesday and Randle flashed his All-Star form when he saw Golden State last season. Across two games, he averaged 20.5 points, 13.5 rebounds and 8.0 assists, and New York will require that kind of production tonight.
