PORTER, TX — On Sunday, February 27, 2022 at about 7 PM the Montgomery County Sheriffs Office responded to a 911 call in the 21600 Block of Cavallo Lane, Porter, Texas reporting an assault. Upon arrival, Deputies learned a 47 year old black male has been shot in the chest. The male was provided medical aid and transported by EMS to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation revealed the male, identified as Anthony Dawann Holt, was shot by an adult family member during an argument. The suspect was detained on the scene without further incident and is currently being questioned by MCTXSheriff Homicide/Violent Crimes Detectives. This is an ongoing investigation and no further details are available at this time.
