CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Clarksville was recently ranked the number one hottest housing markets in the country, according to a coast-to-coast conducted by the online real estate company Opendoor.com.
Opendoor’s study used Multiple Listing Service (MLS) data to rank the top 10 U.S. neighborhoods by total homes contracted within 90 days of being listed. Clarksville took the top spot, followed by Leander, Texas.

Economic Development Council CEO Buck Dellinger said the ranking is proof of Clarksville’s explosive growth in recent years.
“These accolades, based on national statistics, reflect what we at the Economic Development Council witness daily. With the steady expansion of our existing business sector, a thriving community, great schools, and wealth of opportunities; it’s no surprise our population is climbing and Clarksville Montgomery County is a top requested location for new companies to show interest and perhaps make their new home,” Dellinger told Clarksville Now.
The demand for housing in Clarksville has swelled to new heights in recent years, with real estate struggling to find enough supply to meet increasing demand.
On May 14, 2021, there were only 116 move-in ready, single-family homes on the market with 95 new homes under construction.
“We’re getting multiple offers on every listing. We had a listing last week that had 40 offers on it,” Christian Black, 2021 president of the Clarksville Association of Realtors, told Clarksville Now at the time.
