In Silver Oak riot case, lawyer sent to judicial custody till April 26
The Girgaum metropolitan magistrate court on Wednesday sent advocate Gunratan Sadavarte to judicial custody till April 26. Sadavarte was arrested for allegedly instigating employees of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) to riot outside Silver Oak, the Malabar Hill residence of NCP chief Sharad Pawar last week.

ED attaches 8 properties belonging to Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday attached eight properties belonging to Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002.
Malik, the 62-year-old senior leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) is presently in judicial custody. He was arrested on February 23 by the ED in connection with a money laundering case against fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim and some of his close aides.

Akbaruddin Owaisi, the AIMIM leader, was acquitted in 2012 hate speech case by a special sessions court in Hyderabad on Wednesday. The court said that the the prosecution failed to produce proper evidences for the same.
The court also directed Akbaruddin Owaisi not to make any controversial speeches in future, keeping the national integrity in view.
